New Frog Song!

Today we started learning this new silly song. There are motions to go along with it! Ask your child to sing it to you through the week :)

9:30-10:00 Music Circle Time: Maria, Meredith & Lizzet

-Begin with the “Who’s here today?” song
-sing ABCs
-Helper finds the letter of the week & sing letter song
-days of the week song
-Children pick songs or dances from the “song jar” and we all sing together with instruments.
-Counting to 13 in English and Spanish
-End with “I love you” and “Instruments away”

Each group spends this time together in a certain area of the room. We rotate from day to day where the group will be. Choices are books, building, art, sorting shapes or colors, playing in the classroom “restaurant”

10:50-11:15 Physical Activity (Tammie)
Monday: Animal Dance
Tuesday: Animal obstacle course
Wednesday: Animal matching
Thursday: stations (slide, tracks, bean bag toss)
Friday: Yoga in 2 groups (15 minutes each), while other group does activity at the table
Yoga on carpet-Meredith and Tammie
-Lizzet: goop, play doh or puzzles
*End together doing “Little Yoga Clock” or ringing the bell

Tuesday: L- Alphabet recognition (A-Z), T-sensory table, MB-using a scale weigh plastic animals, MO-Animal movements (hopping,crawling, walking, hopping), T-Sensory Table
Wednesday: L- Animal matching game, MO-sensory table, MB-ABC review game, putting the alphabet magnets in order (matching, finding letters), MO-Animal collage, T-Fingerprint animal picture
Thursday: L- Number recognition (0-10), MB-sensory table, MO - Paint animal with hands (crab), T-Animal collage
Friday (11:15-11:30): marching parade or bean bag dance
